Research Interests

  • My research interests lie in the modulation of energy metabolic processes and how it relates to metabolic diseases like obesity, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's disease and other related dementias (ADRD). Currently, I am interested in modulation of different populations of gut microbiome and how their disruption can lead to many of the diseases with a view to finding specific signatures which can be used as therapeutic intervention for patients.
