Family Medicine
Fourth-Year Electives
The department of family medicine prides itself on providing 4th year students with a variety of electives, which encompass the breadth of what family medicine has to offer. We aim to provide opportunities that will train future physicians in not only family medicine but also in areas that will broaden their knowledge and make them overall better physicians regardless of the specialty they choose. For this reason, we have electives in a number of areas including outpatient clinical care, inpatient clinical care, family medicine residency, sports medicine, international health and women's health. The department also hopes to encourage care for the underprivileged and provide an opportunity to do this through our PSMP electives.
We look forward to providing students with an enjoyable 4th year elective and helping all students to achieve their goal in graduating regardless of the specialty they have chosen.
Sincerely,
Eduardo C. Gonzalez, MD, FAAFP
