Using a first-of-its-kind wireless eye-pressure monitoring system, USF researchers uncovered new links between the brain, circadian rhythms and light exposure that may help regulate eye pressure. The findings offer new insight into one of glaucoma's most important risk factors and could inform future approaches to understanding and treating the disease.

USF cancer research gets shot in the arm with $6 million in state awards
The University of South Florida and Tampa General Hospital expect to be better equipped to study and treat cancer thanks to six million divided among three awards from the Florida Department of Health. Some of the money will help consolidate oncology efforts onto a single, more effective platform.
