Radiation Treatment Options
CyberKnife
Cyberknife is a unique approach to radiation delivery. This system works with linear accelerator directly mounted on a robot. During a treatment session, the robot has the mobility to move and bend and is able to deliver radiation from a myriad of angles.
The benefit and goal for this precise treatment is that the tumor is directly targeted, and the surrounding tissue is spared. The patient has a better experience as there are no need for restraints or a brace during the procedure because the CyberKnife incorporates motion synchronization and real time image guidance. HDR Brachytherapy
HDR Brachytherapy HDR (high dose-rate) brachytherapy is used to treat numerous types of cancers. This type of therapy is delivered through applicators placed internally near the tumor for cervical or endometrial cancer or directly on the skin to treat skin cancer.
Tomo Therapy
The TomoTherapy® Hi-Art® treatment system delivers sophisticated image-guided intensity- modulated image therapy (IMRT) with extreme precision that targets and attack cancer cells. This innovative therapy has the ability treat hard to reach, complex tumors of different sizes, and minimizes potential damage to healthy organs and tissue. This treatment lowers the risk of pain and complications, which leads to more positive outcomes.
