Sponsored by USF Area Health Education Center, the USF Health Service Corps is a USF Health-wide interprofessional program that enables USF Health students in nursing, public health, physical therapy, pharmacy, physician assistant and medical (MD and MS/PhD) programs to collectively participate in meaningful, rewarding, and enjoyable health-related community service activities.

In the past, each college initiated its own service activities, e.g., National Primary Care Week, Public Health Week, Nurses Week, health fairs, school physicals and more. Still, there was little interprofessional collaboration between colleges for these events. Thus, USF Health Service Corps was executed. The program facilitates opportunities for students in all areas of USF Health to work jointly on specific service events and new, ongoing service-learning projects throughout the year.
