The USF Health Office of Strategic Initiatives (OSI) functions as an internal consulting group to support and plan for organizational growth by providing services focused on operational effectiveness & efficiency, competitiveness, stability and longevity. The OSI supports the Executive Vice President's strategic initiatives to advance the mission and shape the future of USF Health by providing them with the services outlined below.

The formal strategic plan development process is a structured and comprehensive approach to developing the vision and goals for an organization, and designing the strategies and action plans to achieve them.

The aim of strategy development is to create an answer or soution, an idea for success or a concept/approach for overcoming a challenge or seizing an opportunity.

Operational planning consists of working with stakeholders to turn an idea into a detailed, actionable plan that outlines the required steps to operationalize the idea and takes into consideration organizational requirements, available resources, and best practice models.

The art of moving a group of people through meetings or planning sessions to successfully achieve a specific goal.
- In meeting series facilitation, OSI works with stakeholders to plan guide and manage a series of meetings tied to a strategic initiative. Meetings may be focused on multiple topics and are designed to achieve set objectives over a period of time.
- Workshop facilitation involves guiding and leading a collaborative session focused on a singular topic where stakeholders are actively engaged in achieving a desired output. Common workshop activities include ideation, brainstorming, process improvement, analyzing and solving complex problems, and making decisions.

The purpose of change management is to develop strategies and action plans for effecting change, controlling change, and helping people to adapt to changes within the organization.
