Kara Steiner
Senior Associate Vice President, USF Health Development and Alumni Relations
Kara Steiner is the senior associate vice president for development and alumni relations at USF Health. Kara has been with USF Health for over eleven years in a variety of leadership roles. As a member of the USF Foundation donor events team she helped launch the $1 billion Unstoppable Campaign. Kara began her journey with development at USF in 2008 and then enjoyed four years at University of Central Florida (UCF). Her duties at UCF included working within the central development office on leadership annual giving, student philanthropy, and the faculty and staff campaign.
In her role at USF Kara has successfully led several dynamic teams in the areas of major giving for both academic units as well as clinical, alumni engagement, annual giving, capital campaigns, parent, and student philanthropy. She has progressively built an advancement team dedicated to the four colleges within USF Health with a focus on the Morsani College of Medicine (MCOM).
MCOM is the largest and most lucrative college in terms of dollars raised and alumni participation. More recently, she has also directed the grateful patient team for the clinical departments of USF Health and leads the fundraising collaboration with Tampa General Hospital.
Kara is a proud USF alumna, Class of 2006, from the College of Arts & Sciences.
