André Spitzer
Assistant Vice President & Deputy Chief of Staff, USF Health
André is a seasoned healthcare executive with over 25 years of progressive leadership experience spanning academic medical centers, health systems, and the private sector. He currently serves as Assistant Vice President and Deputy Chief of Staff at USF Health where he plays a key strategic and operational leadership role, supporting the Chief of Staff and Executive Vice President / Dean of the Morsani College of Medicine. In this capacity, André is instrumental in shaping and executing enterprise-wide initiatives, overseeing managed care and provider credentialing, and leading the implementation of the new faculty compensation models.
Prior to his current role, André served as Director of Strategic Planning, Business Development & Analytics at USF Health, where he led high-impact teams in market intelligence, performance analytics, and business development. His insights and leadership directly contributed to the organization's clinical growth strategy, operational improvements, and financial sustainability.
Before joining USF, André held senior leadership roles at Yale School of Medicine and Yale New Haven Health System, overseeing strategic planning, finance, and clinical department operations. He also led wellness programs, digital strategy, and consulting initiatives in the private sector, delivering significant cost savings and operational improvements.
André holds a Master of Arts in Health Administration and a Bachelor of Social Science from Hofstra University and is certified in both Six Sigma and Lean Six Sigma methodologies. During his leisure time, he is an avid golfer and an outdoor distance swimmer.
