Biography

Lauren Kuykendall is board certified Plastic Surgeon and Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida, Department of Plastic Surgery. A native Floridian, Dr. Kuykendall completed her undergraduate and medical degree at the University of Florida where she was inducted in the Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Medical Honor Societies. She then completed her training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. She has authored multiple peer reviewed articles as well as participated in quality improvement initiatives. She is currently the Vice Chief of the Department of Plastic Surgery at Tampa General Hospital and the Lead Plastic Surgeon for the Breast Program at USF Health/TGH. She is an active mentor working with the American Society of Plastic Surgeons in the Professional Resource Opportunities in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Education and Leadership (PROPEL) program. Her interests include breast reconstruction, body contouring, aesthetics, microsurgery and general plastic surgery. Dr. Kuykendall sees patients primarily at the TGH Outpatient Center.
