Body Contouring
Division Overview
The mission of USF Body Contouring is to provide evidence-based body contouring care - restoring physical harmony, supporting emotional well-being, and empowering each patient to feel and live as their most authentic self with safety, integrity, and compassion.
Clinical Care
At USF, our goal is to treat each patient through an academic perspective with the highest quality and safety. Each concern is approached in a patient-centered manner with the most modern techniques. We treat every patient for their individual goals - from body contouring patients after several hundred-pound weight loss to those who have a focused weight loss. Patients also may present for body contouring in anticipation for other medical/surgical conditions such as hernia, orthopedic or urologic concerns.
Our surgeons are board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and as an academic medical center are uniquely qualified to provide the following procedures:
Abdominoplasty (tummy tuck)
Brachioplasty (arm lift)
Panniculectomy (weight loss)
Thighplasty (thigh lift)
Liposuction
Mommy makeover
Gynecomastia
Breast lift (mastopexy)
Breast reduction
Body lift
Research Focus
Research initiatives in body contouring investigate patient outcomes and safety as well as emerging technologies in soft tissue support. With a high volume of a diverse patient population, we work to optimize the patient experience to be highly reliable and safe.
Educational Initiatives
As an academic institution, we provide education regarding body contouring at USF, regional and national levels. our Director of Body Contouring, Dr. Brielle Weinstein, leads the Southeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons Intern Bootcamp - teaching the region's new generation of plastic surgeons about patient safety and plastic surgery principles.
