Observer Program Update
The USF Department of Neurosurgery/Tampa General Hospital Observer Program is currently paused, and new observer applications are not being accepted at this time.
To be notified when the program reopens, please email heisenberg@usf.edu to be added to our interest list. Individuals on the interest list will receive updates regarding program availability and application instructions when they become available.
-
If you are a medical physician interested in shadowing one of our physicians, you must first obtain written approval via email from the physician you wish to observe prior to submitting an application.
For more information and to access the physician-specific application process, please visit: TGH Physician-to-Physician Observer Application Request
-
USF Health MCOM students, please refer to the Medical Student webpage for relevant details and instructions.
-
If you are interested in an outpatient observer experience (e.g., neurosurgical clinic through USF Health), please contact the education team for further instructions.
-
We encourage all international observers to reach out to the USF Medicine International office for onboarding and coordination. This department has a streamlined application process that includes a fee and important steps to ensure compliance with USF and TGH policies.
