Diagnosing MS

Unfortunately, no single test can be performed to diagnose MS. A full workup consisting of medical history, comprehensive neurological exams, laboratory tests and radiology tests are required to confirm the diagnosis of MS. Some of the tests required for the diagnosis include the following:

  • Blood tests
  • Lumbar puncture
  • MRI of the brain and spinal cord
  • Ophthalmological exams
