Dr. Denise Edwards has been a faculty member at USF Health for 12 years. After graduating from the University of Florida, she attended medical school and completed her residency at the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine. She is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, and has provided primary care to patients of all ages at the USF Health South Tampa Center for Advanced Healthcare, adjacent to Tampa General Hospital on Davis Islands.
Dr. Edwards is passionate about preventative medicine and weight management, which led her to develop and direct the USF Health Healthy Weight Clinic. This is an interdisciplinary team of physicians, psychologists, and a dietitian, who work together to treat eating disorders and weight related issues in patients of all ages.
Over the past three years, she has been the Medical Director of the USF Health Monsour Executive Wellness Center, which provides comprehensive physicals for members of the Tampa Bay community and beyond. This has provided a wonderful experience of providing concierge-level care for busy professionals who value quality, as well as convenience. She is now providing this same level of care as a primary care physician for women in the Pamela Muma Women’s Health Center.
