Answering questions that advance military medicine

The USF Health Office of Military Medical Innovation & Research (OMMIR) serves as the strategic hub for aligning academic medical research and innovation with the urgent operational needs of the U.S. military and veteran communities. Situated within the Center for Advanced Medical Learning & Simulation (CAMLS), OMMIR integrates multidisciplinary expertise across USF Health and its partners to accelerate medical advancements that improve survival, recovery, and readiness in military settings.

OMMIR supports collaborative research, translational innovation, and education programs that target real-world challenges in battlefield medicine, trauma care, and human performance. Our approach is mission-driven and impact-focused – bridging gaps between discovery and deployment.
