Bernadette Melnyk

Dr. Bernadette Melnyk - Speaker

Bernadette Mazurek Melnyk, PhD, APRN-CNP, EBP-C, FAANP, FNAP, FAAN, is a nationally/internationally recognized leader in evidence-based practice, intervention research, mental health, and decreasing burnout and emotional distress in the healthcare workforce. She is the founder and CEO of COPE2Thrive, LLC, and President and Co-Founder of EBP Solutions, LLC. She served as Vice President for Health Promotion and Chief Wellness Officer at The Ohio State University for 13 years and is a former dean of its College of Nursing. A prolific scholar with more than 630 publications, her evidence-based COPE CBT-based programs are used throughout all 50 states to improve mental health outcomes and healthy behaviors in children, teens, young adults, pregnant women, and the healthcare workforce.  

Dianne Beedy-Morrison

Dr. Dianne Morrison-Beedy - Speaker

Dianne Morrison-Beedy, PhD, RN, CGNC, FESNO, FFNMRCSI, FAAN, FAANP, FNAP, is an internationally-recognized leader, scholar and educator, she has authored nearly 400 published manuscripts, book chapters, and abstracts and secured millions in research funding to develop The Health Improvement Project for Teens (HIPTeens), now recognized by the CDC and US Dept. of HHS and Blueprints for Effective Adolescent Health Programs as an exemplary evidence-based intervention for HIV/STI and teen pregnancy prevention. Her intervention expertise led to her induction into the International Nursing Research Hall of Fame and as Global Intrapreneur of the Year as well as election as a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, National Academies of Practice, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, and European Specialist Nurses Organization. Previously Dean at University of South Florida, and four-time Fulbright awardee, her intervention reaches some of the most vulnerable, underserved adolescent populations across the US including victims of sexual trafficking, those in foster care, diasporic Afro-Caribbean communities, and resettled refugee/displaced girls from twelve different countries. 

Usha Menon

Dean Usha Menon - Featured Presenter

Usha Menon, PhD, RN, FAAN, FSBM, is Dean of the University of South Florida College of Nursing and Senior Associate Vice President for USF Health. A nationally recognized leader and researcher, her work focuses on health equity, cancer prevention, and improving healthcare access, with more than $64 million in funded research and over 25 years of academic leadership experience.

Learning Outcomes
