Dr. Hernandez is an Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida (USF). She has over 25 years of experience in maternal-child health, public health, and community engagement work locally and globally. Her current research interests include innovation to improve maternal-child health with a focus on infant feeding practices of underserved, vulnerable populations and representation in the nursing workforce to impact health outcomes for our nation.
