Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program

Program Director's Welcome

Through our USF Health affiliated hospital partners, the diagnostic radiology residency program at USF Health, offers a diverse educational experience in a variety of clinical settings that prepares our graduating residents well for careers in either private practice or academic radiology. The central Florida climate, with its mild winters, offers an additional bonus for year-round recreational activities apart from residency training.

Please review the information provided on our web site regarding our residency program in Diagnostic Radiology. If you wish to apply to the program, you should submit your application and supporting documents through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Medical school transcripts, USMLE scores, and three letters of recommendation must be received by September 30th, 2023 to complete your file. On October 2nd, 2022 we will begin reviewing applications. If the Residency Training Committee feels you are a competitive applicant, you will be contacted by e-mail with a list of available interview dates. Chosen applicants will be contacted by early October. Interviews will be conducted virtually by invitation October through January.

During this residency match cycle, we will offer a total of 6 (six) advanced diagnostic radiology positions with PGY-2 year beginning on July 1st, 2025. Also for applicant convenience, we are pleased to offer up to 6 (six) PGY-1 positions directly linked to the USF internal medicine residency. To fulfill a "one stop" intern year requirement (the linked PGY-1 or "intern year" begins on July 1st, 2024).

The USF Health Department of Radiology follows the guidelines set forth by the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) for programs participating in the match. Additional information regarding graduate medical education at USF Health, including the Housestaff Handbook and a sample contract, can be found on the USF Housestaff website. If you have any questions regarding our program or the application process, please feel free to contact our Program Administrators:
