The resident team provides coverage for Tampa General Hospital and teleradiology coverage for the Moffitt and VA hospitals. Residents rotate on two-week blocks beginning Sunday evening, with the TGH resident working from 7:00 pm to approximately 7:00 am the following morning. The Moffitt/VA resident works from 8:00 pm to approximately 8:00 am. The night residents receive Saturday night off. R2-R4 residents will work a total of 4 weeks of night float in the academic year, split between 2 blocks. An attending is always available in house for resident support.

Weekend call (Saturday, Saturday night, and Sunday) is covered in three 12-hour shifts by the general resident pool. Residents begin the night float rotations after completing 12 months of diagnostic radiology training.
