Moving Lives Forward
At USF Health, we’re proud of our DPT program’s unmatched value—100% NPTE pass rate, steady tuition for over 15 years, and a team of expert faculty. We’re constantly raising the bar in education, research, and clinical care—not just in Tampa Bay, but across the country. It’s all part of how we’re Being Bold and Moving Lives Forward—and why we’re rising in the national rankings.
The University of South Florida’s School of Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Sciences has become a place of deep purpose and pride for me. Over the past twelve years, I’ve had the privilege of growing from faculty member to Director and Associate Dean within the Morsani College of Medicine—witnessing firsthand the bold transformation of our program.
We’ve reimagined our Doctor of Physical Therapy curriculum with innovation and intention, all while maintaining affordable tuition and exceptional value. This year, our student outcomes reached record highs, a testament to the extraordinary dedication of our faculty, staff, and students.
Our reach continues to expand. We’ve launched a pre-college summer camp, introduced a new undergraduate major in Health and Physical Rehabilitation Science in partnership with the College of Public Health, and are actively developing new programs to meet evolving rehabilitation needs.
As our academic offerings grow, so too does our physical footprint. A major milestone this year was our move into a new campus location, which doubled our classroom space and significantly enhanced our learning environment. Our new, dedicated laboratory spaces simulate real-world clinical settings in pediatrics, neurology, orthopedics, acute care, and other specialties—providing the backdrop for immersive, hands-on experiences that prepare our students to excel in modern physical therapy practice.
While it may seem like we’ve reached a peak, we’re just getting started. I’m energized by what’s ahead and proud to be part of a community that’s shaping the future of rehabilitation sciences. Together, we’re not just advancing education—we’re “Moving Lives Forward.”
Education
Pioneering the Future of Physical Therapy
Pursuing a career in physical therapy, athletic training, occupational therapy, or another rehabilitation-related graduate program just got easier at the University of South Florida.
Through an innovative partnership with the USF Health College of Public Health, we are now offering a B.S. in Health and Physical Rehabilitation undergraduate degree.
This degree incorporates most prerequisite courses directly into the curriculum, and the final 30 upper-level credits are taught by expert clinical faculty in the School of Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Sciences. The result is a streamlined undergraduate experience that equips students with the knowledge, skills, and mentorship needed to excel in graduate programs and professional practice.
