Research Interests

  • Research:
  • Neonatal and Infant Clinical and Experimental Airway Biology Laboratory
  • 2019 - 2022, Washington, D.C: Principal Investigator - Dr. Gustavo Nino
  • Focused on pathobiology of respiratory disorders, especially with respiratory viruses in high-risk populations such as Trisomy 21 and premature patients
  • Learned airway epithelial cell culture techniques and wet lab training Utilized Minitab for data analysis
  • Developing a human epithelial model ofTrisomy 21 to examine immune response and airway response to viruses
  • Worked with co-fellow Dr. Aguilar to utilize longitudinal extraction in the NICU to map trajectories in extreme prematurity
