The USF Morsani College of Medicine PA Program provides students with a strong fund of knowledge in clinical medicine. The preclinical year is designed to prepare students for their clinical experiences in their second year. Learning methods include lectures, small group facilitated learning, simulations, laboratory experiences, individual assignments, and interactions with standardized patients.

Clinical year rotations for the Year 2 class begin in early May each year and continue for 12 months. Rotation assignments, dates, locations, and program scheduled breaks are provided to students prior to each clerkship. The university is closed on Thursday and Friday of Thanksgiving week, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. All other holidays are subject to clinic and preceptor hours. |
