We are interested in the signaling pathways by which tumor derived osteopontin initiates mesenchymal stem cells in the microenvironment to adopt a cancer associated fibroblast phenotype and subsequently, the cross talk that is created which drives cancer stemness and cancer associated phenotype maintenance.
