Preliminary Year

Our preliminary positions are available through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). We open our application for these programs on October 1. The curriculum is designed to fulfill ACGME requirements, provide a strong foundation in internal medicine, and provide subspecialty experiences that will assist our interns in their future career endeavors. Our program works with your Program Director to identify high-yield rotations and experiences to best prepare you following internship.

Dermatology

Inpatient electives including:
Infectious disease, and resident choice

Outpatient electives including:
Rheumatology, Allergy & Immunology, Dermatology, and resident choice

Inpatient:
General Internal Medicine wards, Oncology wards, Critical Care Medicine, Emergency medicine, House officer

Ophthalmology

Inpatient electives including:
Infectious disease, Ophthalmology, and resident choice

Outpatient electives including:
Rheumatology, Dermatology, and resident choice

Inpatient:
General Internal Medicine wards, Oncology wards, Critical Care Medicine, Emergency medicine, House officer

Additional experiences in the wet lab available throughout the year upon coordination with Program Director

Radiation Oncology

Inpatient electives including:
Hematology/Oncology, Gastroenterology, Pulmonology, and resident choice

Outpatient electives including:
Ambulatory Oncology, ambulatory Hematology, and resident choice

Inpatient:
Oncology wards, general Internal Medicine wards, Emergency Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, House Officer

Radiology

Inpatient electives including:
Neurology, Gastroenterology, Pulmonology, Radiology, and resident choice

Outpatient electives including:
Ambulatory Rheumatology, and resident choice

Inpatient:
Oncology wards, General Internal Medicine wards, Emergency Medicine, House Officer
