Our Personnel
William Miller, MD, MS
Dr. Miller is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at USF. Since 2023, he is the Program Director for the Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship Training Program. He is the founder and current president of the Florida Thoracic Society. He is dual-boarded in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, as well as Clinical Informatics.
Chakrapol Sriaroon, MD
Dr. Sriaroon is an Associate Professor of Medicine at USF. He is the director of the Cystic Fibrosis clinic at USF. He is dual-boarded in Infectious Disease (2008) and Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine (2015), and he completed a Mycobacterial diseases fellowship at National Jewish Health in Denver, CO in 2015.
Amanda McNamara, LPN
Amanda McNamara is the Associate Director for Clinical Research for the University of South Florida’s Department of Internal Medicine. A former LPN for the division of Pulmonary and Critical Care, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise, spanning domains from clinical care to research compliance and operations.

- We work closely with the Tampa General Laboratory for processing of all of your respiratory samples. Our lab works closely with National Jewish Hospital and with the Florida state labs to ensure that your specimens are properly assessed for the species, subspecies, and relevant antibiotic susceptibilities, to ensure that your treatment regimen is targeted to you.

- Common gastrointestinal disorders in patients with bronchiectasis and nontuberculous mycobacterial infections include swallowing disorders and inflammatory bowel diseases. At the University of South Florida, we will work closely with our esophageal disorders physicians (Drs. Slone and Jacobs) and our inflammatory bowel disease specialists (Drs. Rosario and Manski) to diagnose and appropriately manage these conditions for our patients.

- In rare cases, surgery is needed to treat patients whose lungs have been severely damaged. We work with a highly experienced surgical team to ensure the best possible care for patients who need this option.
- Nutrition Services
- Low weight can result from severe lung disease, and can contribute to worsening of your condition. For patients suffering from abnormal weight loss, we work closely with nutritionists at the University of South Florida and Tampa General Hospital to ensure your nutrition supports your lung health.
- Immunology and Rheumatology Services
- Immune dysregulation is common in patients with bronchiectasis. At the University of South Florida, we work closely with our clinical immunology team to ensure your immune system is properly assessed and that any conditions we uncover are treated with the most up-to-date options.
- Lung transplant
- For the rare patients whose disease becomes very advanced and is refractory to maintenance therapies, we can provide referrals for lung transplant. Tampa General Hospital is a high-volume transplant center with a large, multidisciplinary team of professionals to help you achieve the best outcome possible.
