Endocrinology and Metabolism

The Endocrinology Fellowship Program at the University of South Florida in Tampa is designed to prepare you for the broad practice of this subspecialty by providing excellent well-rounded training in clinical and research endocrinology and metabolism.

This training program will provide extensive supervised clinical training in different areas of the subspecialty of Endocrinology. The fellowship is designed to complement and supplement prior training in Internal Medicine and to provide in-depth basic and clinical knowledge and the highest level of professional competency in direct patient care and consultation in Endocrinology.

Our Program have six fellows in which they will be trained to master the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and competencies determined by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education to be essential for subspecialist physicians in Endocrinology.

Accreditation

The Endocrinology and Metabolism Fellowship at the University of South Florida in Tampa is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

Certification

You will be eligible to take the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) subspecialty examination in Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases upon completion of the fellowship.

Program History

The Endocrinology and Metabolism Fellowship at the University of South Florida was established in 1975.
