Admin and Operations
USF EM faculty lead and operate one of the largest academic emergency departments in the country along with our partner, TEAMHealth. Our ED operations team members are viewed as national leaders in the ED process, patient safety, design and throughput health services space. Under the longtime leadership of our System Medical Director, Dr. David Wein, patients experience excellent clinical care at all of our sites. In addition, we provide leadership training, creating the best future medical directors in EM. Our team leads a busy, urban, quaternary care, Level-1 trauma center (Tampa General Hospital, Davis Islands), as well as two freestanding locations (Kennedy FSED and TGH Outpatient Center/Brandon Healthplex).
The USF EM Admin and Operations Fellowship program has trained a number of regional and national leaders in the discipline. The fellowship, in partnership with the USF Muma College of Business, leads to an MBA at time of fellowship completion.
