Volunteer Opportunities at the Byrd Institute

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Byrd Alzheimer's Institute. We have limited volunteer opportunities at the Institute so please inquire well in advance. We do give priority to upper class USF students. Our hours are M-F 8:00-5:00pm and we are not open on the weekends.
PLEASE NOTE: We do not have any more volunteer opportunities for 2023.

Volunteering in our Research Labs

Our research labs are very limited in the number of volunteers and the spaces fill-up quickly. Priority is given to students who have some relevant experience.
If you are interested in volunteering in a research lab at the Byrd Institute, please review the website to learn about the research conducted at the Byrd Institute.  Go to our Faculty Research Page and click on the researchers name to see a summary of their research interests. Send a formal letter of interest and your resume to the researcher who best matches your interests.

Please be aware that we receive numerous inquiries and cannot guarantee a personal response to each one.

Volunteering with our Clinical Trials

We have a very busy clinical research area, however, we do not have volunteer opportunities due to the strict regulations for conducting clinical trials.

Observing Clinicians in our Memory Clinic
