Honor your USF Health doctor for National Doctors' Day on March 30

Now more than ever, we celebrate the everyday heroes who make life better for patients like you.

THANK YOU to everyone who shared notes of support for your USF Health doctor for National Doctors' Day! Your encouragement uplifted our health care professionals when they needed it the most! Here are a few of our favorite notes that our patients allowed us to share:

“Dr. McCormick is always in a great mood and always listens to my concerns and helps me make the right health decision. That’s why I love Dr. McCormick, he gives me a say on what we try with my complicated health issues. I have the highest regard for his knowledge and advice, he truly makes a difference!”

“Dr. Clayton is remarkable in every sense of the way. Not only is she an amazing doctor, but she’s an amazing woman. She’s a hard worker, a loving mother, Intelligent, a joy to be around and beautiful inside and out. I’m so happy she’s a part of the USF team. Not all superheroes wear capes, some wear white coats and cute shoes:)”

“Dr. Herweg has been amazing through helping with all my cardiac procedures from ablations, pacemaker inserts and removal with the last surgery being pacemaker wire removal and pacer being place in a different For many years he has listened and tried to make the process easy. He is a brilliant doctor.”

“Dr. McKeon is the best doctor I have ever had. I am a USF Health student finishing up my degree and Dr. McKeon is someone who inspires me. Thank you for being a great mentor and doctor. It was the little things like even holding my hand in the OR that made a world of a difference.”

“I have been a patient at USF for 30+ years and have always found the staff to be well above average in their profession. I would especially like to commend Dr. Kira Zwygart for her caring and professionalism with me since we have shared some very unique medical situations over the last 20 years. THANK YOU!”

“I am so thankful for Dr. Chae. I sought her help as a second opinion after my gastroenterologist in another town wasn't really able to help me. While I still have some difficulties at times, I am able to live a much more "normal" life with Dr. Chae's help. She rocks! :-)”

“Dr. Remaley is extremely patient, caring, understanding, and encouraging. He listens and asks questions to determine the best course of treatment. He is an excellent orthopedic surgeon. I am honored to be one of his patients. Thank you, Dr. Remaley, for your care and support.”

“Dr. Hanna is so AMAZING!!!!....very intelligent, but yet, can talk on a level where his patients (me) can relate and understand. Very passionate and low keyed, but very very very DYNAMIC. Great personality with much humor. A very caring Doctor to say the least!!!...USF is fortunate to have Dr. Karim Hanna on staff.”

“Dr. Patel is a blessing to my family in many ways. She listened to my concerns and acted upon them, allowing me to enjoy a better quality of life. Her sincerity and concern are very comforting. During this very trying time for healthcare workers our family has you in our thoughts and prayers. Thanks for your excellence. You are truly appreciated.”

“Dr. Nathan, you are a superhero to my son. He believes you wear a white cape, fly out to save the day and we believe the same. Thank you for all the hard work you do for all of us.”

“Dr. Fernandez is the epitome of the quintessential medical professional. He is an amazing clinician with the most kind and reassuring bedside manner. He explains everything in terms I can understand and truly listens. Medical visits are stressful, especially for cardiac situations, but Dr. Fernandez has a gift of making it as pleasant as possible.”

“Dr. Ramirez was a hero to me long before this pandemic. He gave me my dad for a few extra years and for that I am truly grateful! He became my doctor as well a few years ago. He is kind and caring, he listens and explains. Not only is he a wonderful doctor but his encouragement and positivity let you know you are more than a chart to him!”

“Love Dr. Olivera makes me feel important. More of a friend than a doctor. When I come in for my follow-ups, he is always welcoming. Great to have a doctor like Dr. Olivera who is really concerned about you. Thank you for all you do.”

“My USF doc is a Great Listener, Thorough, shows great Patience, Care, and Concern. Dr. Navarte is an Extraordinary Doctor and an Extraordinary Human Being!! I'm honored to be your patient. Thanks for being my USF Doc!”

“Dr. Sack is a great neurosurgeon and a great person. He takes time with his patients and always listens and explains what is needed and why. He has a great sense of humor and always greets me with a smile. I thank him for the wonderful care he has given me and also for his great staff of ARNP's and his office staff.”

“We are a military family who has moved around the world. Dr. McCormick is the best doctor we have ever had. He was the first doctor for my premature twins in 2010. When we retired recently he was our first choice as our family doctor. After multiple moves, I can say he is one in a million. We need more doctors like him!”

“Dr. Wiegand is absolutely an amazing human being. He cares, which alone is great, but he gives people their lives back. That's priceless. He puts the pieces of the puzzle back together for complicated patients like me. He explains things and listens. Dr. Wiegand, we love you!!!”

“Dr. Marcet, My family and I thank you so much for taking such good care of me. You are a remarkable talented gifted doctor. Your sweet and loving spirit and your sincere care and concern is felt by your patients and so very much appreciated. It is such a comforting feeling to know you are being taken care of by an amazing doctor. You are a blessing!!”

“Dr. Saks is the most amazing surgeon that literally saved my life! I can not say enough positive things about him. Not only is he talented in the operating room but his bedside manner is also second to none!!!”
