Olga J. Joanow is Associate Vice President for Faculty Relations at USF Health and Associate Dean for Faculty Relations for the Morsani College of Medicine. 

She served as an Assistant County Attorney for Hillsborough County for more than two years before joining USF as in-house counsel for employment matters, including administrative and legal matters in state and federal trial and appellate courts, as well as the U.S. Supreme Court.

In 2005, Olga joined USF Health as Director of Faculty Relations and served in that position until October 2018 when she was promoted to her current position to reflect the broader efforts of faculty affairs across USF Health. She advises senior leadership at USF Health on a range of legal, policy and procedural matters of employment, including those surrounding discrimination, harassment, faculty conduct and discipline, conflict of interest questions; affirmative action; collective bargaining; and immigration.

Olga earned her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and her JD degree from Ohio Northern University.

She has written and presented on a range of local and Florida Bar topics, including sexual harassment, anti-discrimination, and affirmative action. She served for a number of year on the Hillsborough County Civil Service Board (now defunct) and Board of Directors for Champions for Children, a community agency which provides support programs for families and early childhood development.
