• Targeted recruitment of new faculty and endowed chairs

• creation of core facilities

• competitive synergy seed funding

Develop focus research groups for targeted funding

Develop a community of scholars facilitated by social synergy events, journal clubs, lecture series and research symposia.

Promote horizontal (interdisciplinary) and vertical (translational) integration of research and researchers

Organize think-tank sessions and a 5-year "road map" for implementation
