The Signature Interdisciplinary Program in Allergy, Immunology, and Infectious Diseases seeks to:

• Enhance research capacity in AIID by:
  • Targeted recruitment of new faculty and endowed chairs
  • creation of core facilities
  • competitive synergy seed funding
• Develop focus research groups for targeted funding
• Develop a community of scholars facilitated by social synergy events, journal clubs, lecture series and research symposia.
• Promote horizontal (interdisciplinary) and vertical (translational) integration of research and researchers
• Organize think-tank sessions and a 5-year "road map" for implementation
