Capping off a week of celebration, 169 students of the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine Class of 2025 completed their medical school journey May 7 in front of an exceptionally enthusiastic crowd who could not help but yell out their pride and support for their loved ones.

Ramesh Ayyala and Jasenka Zubcevic were among the recipients of Early-Stage Innovation Fund awards for groundbreaking health-focused research. Ayyala’s team is developing an AI-powered app for at-home glaucoma screening, while Zubcevic’s project explores microbiome-based therapies to improve cardiovascular and cognitive health in menopausal women.
