Fellowship Program

Overview

2025 Hospice group

Welcome to the University of South Florida’s Hospice and Palliative Medicine (HPM) Fellowship Program!

Palliative Medicine and Hospice are rapidly expanding to meet the symptom, support and communication needs of patients with complex, significant and/or life-limiting illnesses and their families. The need for person-centered care in an increasingly complex healthcare environment has never been greater and will only heighten with ongoing medical advances.  Given these needs as well as opportunities for clinical, educational and research leadership, we are excited that you are considering Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship training as the next step in your career development.

The Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship at the University of South Florida is an ACGME-accredited training program. As a fellow in this one-year program, you will care for a diverse patient population and learn from multiple teams at our varied clinical sites. Our curriculum will train you in core HPM competencies including complex symptom management, serious illness communication, and more while preparing you for your Hospice and Palliative Medicine board certification.

On behalf of our faculty, clinicians, colleagues, and teammates at all our clinical sites, we welcome you to explore the USF Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship program!

Sincerely,

Our Program Leadership Team
