Biography

Dr. Maguire specializes in hospital medicine. She received her doctorate degree from Florida State University in 2011 and completed her residency program in internal medicine at the University of South Florida in 2014. Since joining USF Main, Dr. Maguire has assisted in the creation of a hospitalist-directed transcutaneous aortic valve replacement program and has become part of a collaborative bone marrow transplant team. She also presents for our Journal Club. Dr. Maguire earned a Masters's degree in physical therapy from the University of Florida and worked as a physical therapist prior to her medical training. Thus, she actively encourages increased hospital mobility as a method to decrease the length of stay and improve patient outcomes. In her free time, Dr. Maguire enjoys working with the local PTA and Student Advisory Committee and spending time with her family.
