Biography
Dr. Kass grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida, before attending Davidson College in North Carolina, where she majored in Spanish Language and Literature. She received her doctorate degree from the University of South Florida in 2017 with a scholarly concentration in public health after being actively involved in Project World Health and other international medical endeavors. She completed her residency training at the USF-affiliated program at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Pennsylvania, where she started a rotation with St. John’s Medical College in Bangalore, India. She then was accepted to one of the country's few Global Health and Tropical Medicine Fellowships at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she traveled extensively before earning her Diploma in Clinical Tropical Medicine from the Gorgas Program in Lima, Peru. She is board-certified in internal medicine, tropical medicine, and travelers’ health. Her passions include global health, the provision of healthcare in developing regions, and traveling, as well as yoga, hiking, and camping.
