Biography

A five-generation Florida native, Dr. Peek was eager to remain in Florida, completing her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (Bradenton campus) and residency training at the University of South Florida. Her interest in quality improvement peaked during residency, and she completed her chief year at the James A. Haley VA as chief of quality improvement and patient safety. Since joining Main, she has led many quality improvement efforts, including co-founding a Fellowship in quality improvement at TGH, leading the geographic rounding committee, discharge improvement, new hire workgroup, CHF readmission reductions, CLABSI, and credentialing committee. She also enjoys mentoring residents in quality improvement in addition to providing monthly residency updates at the morning report. In her spare time, she enjoys peloton, running outdoors, fishing, and keeping up with her two children.
