Florida Medical Licenses
The State of Florida requires that all practicing physicians hold a valid Florida medical training license in order to provide healthcare services. Resident physicians who are officially enrolled in an accredited post-graduate training program recognized by the state must either hold a valid full license in the State of Florida or a valid training license in the state of Florida. Residents without a training license or a full license in the State of Florida may not participate in patient care.

The Graduate Medical Education office will provide financial assistance and support during the application process. This applies to both an MD and DO applications.

The Graduate Medical Education Office will provide financial assistance and support for the renewals of a MD/DO training license.

The Graduate Medical Education office does NOT provide financial assistance or support when applying for a full medical license. This process must be completed by the individual applying for the FULL license.
