Certifications
Required Medical Certifications
All hospital affiliates and the ACGME require USF residents to maintain up to date certifications. Registering for certifications is easy! Please follow the instructions below.
Associates in Emergency Medical Education, Inc. (AIEME)
The AIEME vendor offers online registration to any of its numerous course offerings. This vendor has many class times, dates and locations to fit busy schedules. To access AIEME courses and register, please follow the instructions below.

- Visit www.aieme.com and click on register.
- Select a class option that fits your schedule.
- Add the date to your calendar.
- Answer all required questions on the first registration page. Be sure to select "USF GME" as your employer.
- The next page simply confirms the first. Please make sure all information is correct.
- The third page is the payment option page. Be sure you select “USF GME” from the employer pay dropdown list (the bottom option). This will ensure that you will not be charged and GME will be billed. Be sure to select "USF GME" as your employer and in the payment section to ensure that you will not be charged and GME will be billed. You should never have to enter a credit card for payment. NOTE - If you are entering credit card information, then you missed the employer pay option.
- Study materials will be automatically emailed to you upon registration, but you may also check out study materials through the GME office.
- Attend the class.
- Claim your electronic certification cards using the code sent to you via email after your class.
- SUBMIT A COPY OF YOUR CARD TO THE GME OFFICE ONCE COMPLETED.
Certifications required are program specific. Below are guidelines of what is required:

Please note: All recertification training must be completed with AIEME. Note that ATLS recertification is at CAMLS, please contact your coordinator for registration instructions. If you choose to use your own resource for recertification, you will not be reimbursed for the cost.
