Interprofessional education (IPE) is the essence of the USF Health brand. Educating tomorrow’s health care providers to learn and work together is a vital component in today’s 21st Century health care system. Our innovative IPE approach provides our students with the necessary skill sets to work as team members, communicate effectively, and, more importantly, make a positive, collaborative impact on the future of health care by improving patient outcomes and coordination of care. As the only academic medical center on the west coast of Florida, our students are uniquely positioned to leverage their collective expertise and strengths across health disciplines to become IPE leaders in their future practice environment, placing the patient at the center of care.
