Biography

Alyssa Brown is a Florida native, who was born and raised in Sarasota. Dr. Brown graduated from the University of Florida in 2007 magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition. She then received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of South Florida College of Medicine. While at USF, she pursued a scholarly concentration in the study of Health Disparities. Dr. Brown went on the complete her residency in 2015 at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Thereafter, she joined as a faculty member in the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. She is an Associate Professor within the division of Specialists in General Obstetrics and Gynecology and is the Associate Division Director for that group. She additionally serves as Chief of Obstetrics Gynecology and Medical Director of Community Health Outcomes at Tampa General Hospital.
