Tampa General Hospital serves as one of the main training sites for the USF Department of Otolaryngology. Here residents will gain exposure to the whole gamut of the otolaryngologic experience. The high clinical volume at this site allows junior level residents to work one on one with faculty members on minor cases and work under the supervision of more senior residents on major cases. Senior level residents will have the opportunity to hone their skills on a diverse array of complex cases including anterior and lateral skull base, complex endoscopic sinus surgery, microvascular surgery, and will also gain exposure to new techniques in the treatment of sleep apnea such as the hypoglossal nerve stimulator.

The Moffitt Cancer Center is an NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center and the only Cancer Center in the state of Florida. This provides our residents the opportunity to gain exposure to cutting edge clinical trials and a wide array of pathology not encountered regularly anywhere else in the state of Florida. This rotation is primarily reserved for senior level residents due to the complexity of cases though many junior level residents also utilize this resource when preparing research projects for presentations and publication at the regional and national level.

The James A. Haley Veterans Administration Hospital is one of the busiest VA Hospitals in the nation and provides for a strong foundation in clinical and general otolaryngology while also providing opportunities for advanced level cases. The clinic boasts state of the art fiber optic endoscopic equipment in every room as well as two otology rooms with freestanding otology microscopes. Residents gain a unique training experience at the V.A. Hospital due to a higher incidence of chronic diseases and get personal experience following patient's clinical timeline throughout the treatment course for these conditions.

The newly constructed Carol & Frank Morsani Center for Advanced Healthcare allows USF physicians and residents the opportunity to provide world-class health care with the most sophisticated medical equipment in the region. With a full, free standing ambulatory surgery center including eight operating rooms and five endoscopy suites, this center allows for residents to gain exposure to outpatient and ambulatory procedures commonly performed by otolaryngologist's as well as new and emerging procedures in fields such as laryngology.

Designed to serve those living below the poverty line, it allows residents to gain exposure to those who too often slip between the cracks in our current healthcare system.

Wolfson Children's Hospital

Wolfson Children's Hospital is a 216-bed and the only full-service tertiary hospital for children in the region, serving North Florida, South Georgia and beyond. The world-class pediatric care available at Wolfson Children's Hospital is made possible by the support of Baptist Health Foundation and enhanced through physician partnerships with Nemours Children’s Specialty Care, Jacksonville. Residents will work with a large group of fellowship trained pediatric otolaryngologists where they will gain exposure and expertise in management of otolaryngologic disorders in the pediatric population.
