Department of Radiology

Neuroradiology Fellowship

The USF Health Department of Radiology offers a 1-year ACGME accredited Neuroradiology Fellowship. We will be participating in the NRMP Match for each interview season. Graduating fellows will be comfortable with the appropriate use, protocol, and interpretation of all conventional diagnostic neuroradiology modalities, including MRI, MRA, CT and CTA.

The Program

Fellows will gain basic proficiency in the protocol, post processing and interpretation of advanced neuro-imaging techniques including diffusion tensor imaging, perfusion imaging and functional MRI. Fellows will be expected to perform basic, routine procedures including myelography, spine injections and CT guided biopsy. Tampa General Hospital and the USF Health clinics are busy tertiary referral centers. Fellows in this program will be exposed to a wide range of pediatric and adult spine, brain and head and neck pathology

What to Expect

During this 1-year fellowship program, the fellow will be expected to function as a key member of the neuroradiology section. Fellows will attend and participate in several interdisciplinary conferences, including otolaryngology, neuro-oncology, epilepsy, vascular neurology, and others as well as weekly didactics.
In addition, the fellow will contribute regularly to the education of the diagnostic radiology residents and medical students of the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine
