About: Katie is a Tampa native who is ecstatic to be back in the beautiful Tampa Bay where she can be with her family and be a part of an amazing residency program.  Her subspecialty interests are in Geriatric Psychiatry and Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. In her free time, Katie loves hiking with her Golden Retriever, Kobe, homebrewing kombucha, and trying all the new restaurants in town on her quest to become a Yelp Elite.

About: Alex was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. They have always held a fondness and appreciation for the vibrant community of the Tampa Bay area, and they   hope to remain local to serve this population. Alex has interests in consultation-liaison psychiatry, as well as general outpatient adult psychiatry. They are passionate about addressing health disparities in psychiatry, particularly within the LGBTQ+ community. When not at the hospital, Alex enjoys painting, drawing, reading, and trying new restaurants in the area. Their favorite local eatery is Moreno bakery.

About: Manuela was born in Medellin, Colombia and raised in Tampa, Fl. She is very happy to be back home in Tampa and join a great residency program! There are many different aspects of psychiatry that appeal to her and she is excited to learn more about all the different fields of psychiatry. She is particularly interested in Child & Adolescent psychiatry, psychotherapy, women’s mental health, and underserved populations. During her time off, she enjoys spending time with loved ones, taking care of her plants, reading, and working out.

About: Jack was born and raised in Winter Park, Florida. He became interested psychiatry at an early age after watching lots of Criminal Minds. He’s excited to get more exposure to all the for runs along the water, exploring the restaurants and bars around Tampa, and cheering for Tampa’s various sports teams.

About: Brittany is originally from the Chicago suburbs and is overjoyed to be working and living in sunny Tampa. Within psychiatry, she is specifically interested in addiction and reproductive psychiatry. Brittany is passionate about the multiple dimensions of wellness and coming together as an interdisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient care. She enjoys attending group fitness classes, spending time with her husband and family, and anything with water including cruises, boating, wave-runners, pool days, beach walks, and snorkeling.

About: Born and raised near Oklahoma City, Cody decided to move to Tampa for medical school, and he has loved the city ever since! In his free time, he enjoys camping, kayaking, and playing clarinet. While he has not yet decided on a subspecialty, he knows he is interested in the areas of addiction psychiatry, neuromodulation, child/adolescent psychiatry, and medical education.
