Mobile devices are just as vulnerable to viruses as a desktop. Here are some tips to help keep yours safe.

• Keep Software Current. Keeping your apps and operating system up-to-date is your best defense against viruses, malware and other threats.
• Secure your phone. Use strong passcodes or consider using a passward vault to keep your personal information safe.
• Before you download an app. Review the privacy policy to better understand what you are allowing access to before you download it.
• Wi-Fi Hotspots. Many hotspots are public meaning anyone can access them. Adjust your security settings and limit the type of business you conduct to prevent eavsdropping from other devices.
• Texting and messenger. When in doubt, don't respond. Be mindful of what your sending via text or via messengers like facebook as phishing and spam can also occur here trying to gather personal information.
