ONLINE MASTER OF PUBLIC HEALTH - INFECTION CONTROL

This online program provides an opportunity for interested students to receive specialized and individualized training in the field of infection control and prevention. Although closely modeled after the MPH in Global Communicable Diseases, the Infection Control MPH provides an initial student assessment used to design an individualized learning program specifically focused on infection control.

Students come from all walks of life with various degrees. Suggested and/or preferred undergraduate majors include, but are not limited to the following: Nursing, Biology, Zoology, Microbiology, Immunology. Preference for admission is given to students with a background or demonstrated skills in the biological sciences or licensed healthcare professionals.

PROGRAM OUTLINE

Course offerings and areas of emphasis focusing on infection control span the five departments in the College of Public Health, providing a multi-disciplinary approach. This program allows current or future public health practitioners to expand their knowledge of infection control practices and procedures, particularly in healthcare settings. Offering this program on-line with only one 5-day in-class experience will facilitate students from other counties, states, and countries to achieve an MPH in Infection Control.
