Bio
Dr. Wright is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Community and Family Health at the University of South Florida, College of Public Health.
Dr. Wright practiced as a Registered Dietitian with the Veterans Administration Hospitals for twenty years, specializing in Infectious Disease and directing a Dietetic Internship. She was an Assistant Professor and Director of the Graduate Dietetic Internship program at University of North Florida and most recently, an Assistant Professor for USF Polytechnic where she developed a nutrition concentration.
Dr. Wright’s research interests include nutrition for infectious disease, outcomes of evidence-based dietetic practice and dietetic education strategies.
Dr. Wright is active in the state and national dietetic association. She is the current President of the Florida Dietetic Association, past-chair of the Dietetic Educator Practice Group for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and a board member and site visitor for the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics.
