Happening Now

For decades, USF Nursing has partnered with James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital in the areas of education and clinical practice. The two partners recently extended that relationship - adding research to their longtime partnership. Part of that extension includes the collaboration between Susan McMillan, PhD, distinguished professor at USF Nursing, and the hospital's center of innovation on disability and rehabilitation research. USF Nursing Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) student, Marcia Johansson, recently received a scholarship from Sigma Theta Tau International, Honor Society of Nursing’s Delta Beta Chapter-at-Large. [read more]
Carmen Rodriguez, PhD, recently received tenure to associate professor from USF Nursing. She was promoted for her strong commitment to education, research and practice. [read more]
Five USF Nursing students recently received scholarships from the American Legion Auxiliary Post #275. The students, who are all either veterans or current service members in the military, were awarded $2,000 to go towards tuition and books. [read more]
Staff have joined forces to influence change at USF College of Nursing. They created a Staff Council a few years ago, and, since then, they’ve made quite a difference. [read more]
