The Division of Digestive Diseases and Nutrition (gastroenterology, liver diseases and nutrition) is comprised of 14 full-time, core faculty members, and 3 part-time faculty members with passion in providing state-of-the-art patient care, medical education, and clinical research. Our new director was past president for the American College of Gastroenterology and co-editor of its scientific publication. Two faculty members are past presidents of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, three faculty members are past governors of the American College of Gastroenterology for North Florida, three faculty members are past presidents of the Florida Gastroenterologic Society.

With recent institutional organization changes, the Joy McCann Culverhouse Center for Esophageal & Swallowing Disorders became part of the division with one leadership and broadened mission and goals.
