Airway Disease Center

Overview

The Joy McCann Culverhouse Airway Disease Research Center is a multi-disciplinary research facility located at the University of South Florida College of Medicine.

Mrs. Joy McCann Culverhouse generously donated funds to the University of South Florida’s College of Medicine, Division of Allergy and Immunology to support research, teaching and patient care. The Airway Disease Research Center was dedicated to Mrs. Culverhouse in February, 1998. The funds generated from this endowment are used to support salaries, equipment and expenses to help underwrite the cost of the Division’s research. The Center is also supported by grants from the United States government and private agencies.

The Goals of this Center are:

  • To promote and conduct research in the area of airway disease and pulmonary medicine at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine
  • To conduct research seminars and conferences related to respiratory disease
  • All faculty participate in the Center’s research
