The proteomics core offers a range of techniques for the identification, characterization, and quantification of proteins and peptides.
Protein and Peptide Separation
- High pH (pH 10) reverse phase chromatography, for offline fraction collection
- SDS-PAGE gel electrophoresis.
Protein Digestion and Labeling
- Protein digestion in-gel or in-solution
- Peptide purification using Zip-tips (Millipore), Desalting columns (Peirce), Hypersep (Thermo)
- Peptide labeling with stable isotopes for relative protein quantification
Mass Spectrometry: MS, LC-MS and LC-MS/MS
- Complex proteome analysis (discovery)
- Parallel reaction monitoring (PRM) for targeted identification of proteins/ PTMs
- Relative quantification of proteins by stable isotope labeling (SILAC, iTraq)
