Research Interests

  • Our lab, which I co-manage with Dr. Laura Blair, focuses on diseases of protein accumulation and errant molecular chaperone activity. We are currently investigating the role of molecular chaperones in traumatic brain injury, post-traumatic stress disorder, heritable forms of glaucoma, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and other general tauopathies. Our work utilizes techniques ranging from recombinant protein assays to in vivo animal models. My expertise is in cancer biology, neurodegenerative disorders, and pre-clinical drug development.
